Within the framework of the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficient Use (2019–2030), the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a launch ceremony and a commemorative run on March 21, 2026, in Hanoi. The event took place at the Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space as part of activities responding to the “National Energy Saving and Efficient Use Program and Earth Hour Campaign 2026.”
The Vietnam Institute of Strategy and Policy for Industry and Trade participated in the run alongside nearly 2,000 participants, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development goals. Dr. Nguyen Van Hoi, Director General of the Institute, together with more than 30 staff members, directly joined the race.
This activity represents a practical effort to promote awareness of environmental responsibility and the efficient use of national resources, particularly among professionals engaged in strategic research and policy development.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, emphasized: “Efficient energy use is not merely a technical solution; it is a key driver of production, innovation, and enhanced economic competitiveness.”
Under the theme “Green Innovation – Green Future,” the program calls for proactive technological innovation and shifts in consumption behavior to generate sustainable, long-term value.
The event also featured prominent ambassadors, including Do Duy Manh, Le Hai, and Pham Thuy Duong, whose participation helped inspire the adoption of greener lifestyles within the community.
